This will be the thread where all the information for my ver2 engine and trans mounts is posted.

Also if you have any questions about the new mounts please feel free to ask.

This is all the information on what has to be done to get my mount system to work on your swap.

S13/14 Chassis
Tranmission tunnel: The transmission tunnel will have to be modified (good ol 4lb sledge or cut and re make) for the T56 transmission to clear. If you are wanting to use an automatic (4L60) please pm me about a custom trans mount that is available.

Engine Crossmember: The engine crossmember will have to be modified to get the proper oilpan clearance. I offer this modification for your crossmember for $100 shipped back to you. I can also give detailed instructions on what to cut and where to cut if you want to tackle it yourself. Keep in mind this is a structural part of the vehicle and should be welded by a professional.

Oilpan: The GTO oilpan will have to be modified to get proper clearance from the crossmember. I also offer this modification to your pan for $75 shipped back to you. Again I will also provide the proper dimensions for cutting the pan and the spacer that gets welded in for those that would like to do this themselves. Again keep in mind this is a structural part of the engine (so says GM) and should be welded by a professional.

If you would like to see pictures of the mount kit in an S13 chassis please visit my build thread Otto347 Build Thread

12.21.2009 update:
I talked to my laser guy today and he is trying to get me a set finished before the christmas break so I can install them in the car and make sure everything fits. As soon as I confirm they fit to my liking they will be for sale on my website www.ottofactory.com

Edit: Give the site some time, im getting everything setup on the server.

So would you have to modify the tunnel or firewall with the V2? How about the crossmember and oil pan?

As of right now you have to beat out the tunnel for my mounts to work, I am pretty sure that's the same with anyone's mounts unless you are dropping the crossmember and tranny mount which I also don't recommend.

You can run a stock GTO pan but you have to cut so much out of the crossmember there almost isn't anything left to brace up. Not to mention the notch in the oilpan is so minor that it wont mess with the capacity or the baffle at all.

The way I modded the pan and crossmember is a good happy medium. The crossmember retains its structural rigidity plus the way I run the cross tubes on the bottom makes it a lot more rigid than the stock piece was.

12.23.2009 update:
I haven't received a call about the mounts yet, not sure but don't think they are working tomorrow so I might not see them until next week.

Ok thanks for the info Otto. Do you think you would ever consider adding pre-modded crossmembers and GTO pans to your lineup?

Its a possibility, first I am trying to get a custom pan made so you can use the stock crossmember. Only thing is I am trying to keep the price down on the pan and thats been hard so far. I am working with a custom pan builder right now so we will see what kind of price they give me and go from there.

For the Ver2 engine mounts and the original tranny mount $300. Depending on what happens with the new tranny mount it might jump to $350 for the Ver2 of both.

Thats what im here for Very Happy Believe it or not im in this for the hobby, making money comes second. Whatever I can do to help people build a solid and safe car they can have fun with and put a few dollars in my pocket to ultimately help with my car/hobby which will intern lead to new parts from my own testing is what im all about. (pfeew talk about a run on sentence)

Any chance of headers making a way into your line-up?
