story on the car:
it was my first car, paid $800 for it, drove it for a month and the motor ended up blowing up on me. so instead of going with an SR or RB my brother convinced me to let him have the car so that we could do a V8 swap.
took the KA out and cleaned the engine bay
455 oldsmobile block (being used to mock up motor mount)
oldsmobile mounts bolted right to the stock location for the 240's mounts
so far the only fabricating needed was with the crossmember. it needed to be about an inch lower.
we started working on the car december 4th. hopefully we can have it done before the end up january _________________ 92 240sx with 350 olds motor

| so far the build has been pretty straight forward. only been working on it since the 4th and the only thing left to do is pull the motor from my brothers 72 cutlass and drop it in. mount a mustang steering rack, new radiator and finish making a crossmember for the trans

| yeah looking at pix, looks like the sway bar would be right in the way, what i've been trying to look at is getting the outer tie rod end bolt to drop down to level. the problem is the angle that the bolt is turned at. it makes it hit the lca when turned all the way. yeah it's a mess. i dropped mine about 2" b/c of the flat pan i have.

| Hey there just thought i would drop a line on the steering issue. Im the guy building the car and on the lca and when you say lca are you talking about the bar going from the lca to the frame up front or the actual lca that connects from the ball joint to the crossmember? Hope that doesnt sound stupid. On the bar that connects the lca to the frame in the front I just bolted it on the lca from the bottom with a 1.5 inch spacer but you got to knock the studs out and use longer bolts. Then the steering rack and tie rods will go between the sway bar and lca bar. Ill try to get my bro to get a pic of it.

| Thanks. Not so clean but that will come later just trying to see how cheep I can keep it and use all the stock mounts. And on the driveshaft looks like i just need to change the yoke cuz its the same length with the 400 short tail trans im using.
